While working on music or preparing for gigs, there have been a lot of chances to meet talented young musicians. Older generations are typically envious of younger ones’ energy and enthusiasm. They also often enjoy bringing up the word ‘youth’ to recall their younger days with sugarcoated words though they never share the same concern for what is to come in younger one’s future. ‘The rootless flower in a vase’ relies only on a tender stem to maintain its whole life is not romantic, but rather desperate and painful. To me, it was the meaning of ‘youth’ and which is also why the word ‘youth’ feels hypocritical. Inevitably, I am getting older and older, and this song features the feeling of guilt and irony as I have now become the older generation. This above description might sound too serious, but it’s more like easy listening song that you can enjoy at any time.
lyrics
